Meet Our Team
Dr. Michelle Hines
DAC, L.Ac, MS, BSN, RN, CFMP
Co-Founder/Acupuncturist
Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner
Michelle’s story, like a lot of practitioners, starts when Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture worked for her personally. After a surprising diagnosis of endometriosis, multiple surgeries and profound pain, she started acupuncture and it was the answer. Her personal experience with Chinese Medicine cultivated a deep desire to dedicate her career path to helping others find their own sense of health and wellness.
Michelle decided after many years of being a nurse in the Emergency Department, a new path was awaiting her. She earned her Doctor of Acupuncture from the Pacific College of Health and Science in 2021. She earned her Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine with a Diplomat of Acupuncture from the Colorado Chinese Medicine University. In 2023, Michelle earned her certification in Functional Medicine.
Since graduating from acupuncture school in 2015, Michelle has maintained her private practice in Fort Collins and is also currently working at the Integrative Medicine Wellness Place at uchealth in an integrated hospital setting. Her passion for treating cancer patients has grown into her primary focus of treatment.

In 2017, Michelle began working with Hope Lives!, which is a woman-owned non-profit organization for women undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Michelle has received specialized education and an additional certification from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center to have the most up to date information. Michelle has also received an international certification from TCM Academy in Acupuncture & Oncology in 2023.

In her free time, Michelle loves spending time with her two boys, Aaron and Isiah and her rescue dogs.
After struggling with insomnia for nearly two decades, Holly's primary care physician recommended that she finally try a prescription medication. However, Holly was determined to heal her condition without the aid of pharmaceuticals, so she sought out traditional Chinese medicine. After her successful (and on-going) journey towards optimal health, her passion blossomed into a strong desire to help heal others - so much so that she changed her career path from an in-patient behavioral institute to a career in acupuncture. Holly loves to educate others on how to take the reins of their lives to obtain their goals of living happy, healthy and balanced lives.
Holly earned her Doctor of Acupuncture from Pacific College of Health and Science in 2021. She earned her Master of Science in Acupuncture from the Colorado Chinese Medicine University (CCMU) in Denver, Colorado in April 2016. During her time at CCMU, Holly was a recipient of the Golden Flower Award recognizing her academic excellence. In 2023, Holly earned her certification in Functional Medicine. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from CSU.
Since graduating in 2016, she has owned and operated her private practice. In 2017, Holly began working with a woman-owned, non-profit organization serving women undergoing breast cancer therapy called, Hope Lives!. She is enthusiastic about offering supportive care to improve the quality of life for our cancer patients. In order to ensure the latest knowledge in treating oncology patients, Holly has received additional and specialized education along with national & international certifications from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center & TCM Academy.
Over the years, Holly has developed a passion for addressing complex challenges, while providing high quality care to our patients. She has also enjoyed serving veterans since 2016.
When Holly is not at the clinic, she enjoys learning Spanish, hiking 14ers, writing (you can check out her debut children's book here), spending time with her family, and traveling the world.

Amy’s journey into the healing arts began in 2005 when she
enrolled in massage school while teaching yoga classes there.
After a successful career in massage therapy, including being a
massage instructor for many years, she began to experience
body pain that massage just didn’t seem to completely help.
Acupuncture was the missing link to address that pain. After
receiving acupuncture and referring many of her massage
patients out for acupuncture, she thought, why not just learn
this herself, add to her toolbox!
Amy graduated from Colorado Chinese Medicine University in 2017, earning her Master of Science in
Acupuncture. She has also completed several additional classes
specifically in cupping techniques and treatments.
Both Amy’s personal experience, and massage therapy
experience, has made helping patients with pain relief and
range of motion a natural strong point.
As age affects us all, she had found she is passionate about
women’s care and specifically addressing the challenges of
menopause.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys cooking with her husband,
traveling and playing outside, as well as caring for over 150
rescued farm animals at her non-profit: Rescued Friends Animal Sanctuary.
Amy is thrilled to be part of an incredible team at ACNC.
